What Metals are Aisling Smith Jewellery Made from?

All Gold is Vermeil and Gold Filled. Vermeil is Sterling Silver Coated in a thick Coat of 24k Gold. Gold Filled is 14k gold heat and pressure bonded on Brass, Gold-filled items, even with daily wear, can last five to 30 years but will eventually wear through.

With my experience gold filled does not cause skin irritation to most people who suffer from skin sensitivity to cheaper base metals

Where is Aisling Smith Jewellery made?

All Pieces are hand crafted in our studio in Rathfarmham, Ireland. Each pieace is made with gemstone and findings sourced from around the world.

Can a Piece be altered? Please contact me the alteration request by email [email protected] and if possible it will be arranged

What happens if my Jewellery Breaks?

If your piece breaks or is damaged, do get in touch. We will fix when possible

Caring for your Jewellery

Both sterling Silver and Gold items will tarnish over time. The extensive exposure to air, humidity, sweat, skin and hair products will hasten the oxidation process. To keep your jewellery nice and shiny, we recommend cleaning silver jewellery with soapy water and soft brush and dry with a soft polishing cloth. Keep jewellery in ziplock bag when not used. Try to not wear your jewellery in the shower or pool as the chlorine will tarnish it.

Some of my silver charms are distressed silver, if these pick up extra tarnish they can be cleaned the same as sterling silver.
